2008-06-01 From the archive: Nathaniel Abraham focused on future Detroit Free Press

On Thursday, Abraham, who killed a man at age 11 and became the youngest person ever charged as an adult with first-degree murder in Michigan, strutted out of the Oakland County courthouse in Pontiac a free man -- sporting a smile, a new suit and a new lease on life.

After all the previous court hearings, dozens of them in which Abraham appeared handcuffed and in jail garb, he came dressed to the nines for Thursdays proceedings, in an ivory pin-striped suit with pink shirt and matching alligator shoes and a black rabbit coat.

Once we had the house, credit was no problem. More, the resale value climbed as if the house were on steroids. Exploiting the houses escalating value, we have periodically refinanced the place, each time winding up with the same monthly payments but with considerable cash in hand, which has in turn helped us to live far more comfortably than we ever had in the past, including building an addition to the house fit for handling grandchildren and other guests, which of course further escalated the houses already escalating value, allowing the house to become our ace in the hole asset should our political projects ever need a last-ditch bailout. In fact, the plot of land and home we own have earned more in fifteen years than Lydia and I combined, working like maniacs, have together earned in thirty years. So I learned from the

Initially, Luigi Landicini and Cynthia Landicini were charged with 18 counts of animal cruelty. In an agreement worked out in municipal court, the Cumberland County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals agreed to merge the charges into a single complaint.

The property has been treated three times in the past two weeks for rodents, and it seems the infestation inside the house was eliminated, Adams said. Four vehicles on the property also were exterminated for rodents.
